Well, we are *officially* entering Design Phase 2 over at one of our favorites, the Nowicki Project! Our team just completed this new-build Denver home’s primary bathroom suite, and we can’t wait to show you around.
But first, be sure to check out the formal entryway, mudroom and laundry room we completed for this colorful modern farmhouse last summer – plus, this modern home office with functional workspace for two. We have been fortunate enough to be a part of the project since before they even broke ground. Our team started envisioning this space with mood boards, as we gathered creative ideas for how to best use the space and inspiration photos to nail down the style for this design. So without further ado, let’s get to the most recent reveal for this home…
Many of the spaces in this home are kid-friendly to accommodate our client’s family lifestyle with two young boys. But for the primary suite, our clients wanted a more dressed-up and spa-like feel for this kid-free space. We added some more feminine touches with a few blush pink accents throughout this light and bright primary bathroom.
The bathroom floors and shower walls are all made of natural stone and polished marble, giving this primary bathroom a very high-end, classic and timeless look and feel. We opted to do a mosaic in the oversized shower niche to break up the stonework a bit, and it really became a beautiful focal point of the bathroom. We also mixed metals with the combination of scalloped brass mirrors, towel hooks, and accessories that play really well with the chrome plumbing fixtures.
When designing the custom cabinetry, we opted to do built-ins that had a very furniture-like look to them. The glass doors gave us a spot to add all the necessary bath accessories, while elevating the entire space by accentuating the sheer size of this spa-like bathroom. Rarely do we have enough space in most bathrooms for all of the stuff we need – let alone have so much extra room for accessories.
This primary bathroom speaks the language of luxury and we love it! Our favorite area in this space is the stand alone tub, with its large picture window backdrop and beaded chandelier above. If this doesn’t say luxury and elegance, we don’t know what does! It’s truly so stunning and the perfect at-home spa setting.
As we finish up the primary bedroom to accompany this space, the two really flow well together. We’ve incorporated the brass fixtures from the bathroom by incorporating a beautiful oversized brass chandelier above their bed in the primary suite. Our team also selected polished marble as the fireplace surround in the primary bedroom to further tie these two spaces together.
This project has been a labor of love over two years in the making. But as we like to say, good things take time, and we’re so glad we were able to take our time with this home. Nothing has felt rushed during the design process, so all of our decisions have been well thought out and that extra time always pays off in the end result. Having time to collaborate with the homeowners allows us to think outside the box. We’ve now landed on a design that we are proud to show off, and our clients end up with a home that truly feels like them.
Thanks for following along on our progress at the Nowicki Project! We’re so excited to bring you the primary bedroom, kitchen, and living room spaces in the coming months – so stay tuned for more to come on this beautiful Denver modern farmhouse.
